Check Disc Orientation and Clean the Media

One of the most common reasons for a read error is simply inserting the disc backwards, especially if you position the console vertically. Ensure the printed label side faces toward the center of the console or away from the nearest edge. If the orientation is correct, inspect the physical surface for fingerprints, smudges, or light scratches.

To clean your physical media safely, use a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently in straight lines from the center hub to the outer edge.
