Fungi Mines follows a similar structure to Shining Falls, requiring the collection of the Royal Seed before revisiting the Operation Poplin Rescue stage. Completing this sequence opens the route leading to the local Special World course. In Deep Magma Bog, players must travel to the lowest layer of the volcanic map and clear three consecutive Expert Badge Challenges to reveal the hidden warp point.

Connecting the Hub via the Petal Isles Entrance

The Petal Isles hub area features its own dedicated entrance to the Special World.
